While there has been more acceptance of homosexuality these days among Hindus, that is reversing. According to Pew Research, younger Hindus are becoming more homophobic and it is more prevalent among religious Hindus, which proves it is part of their theological culture, inately. Recent Hindu immigrants are also more tolerant of homosexuality than their children. As the West retracts around the world, so will our liberal values, and Hindus are reverting back to their ancestral homophobia. At first, Hindus pretended to be very welcoming of me... but eventually I found out just how homophobic Hindus are, at least behind your back.
